Kiss From Invisibility

Who’s reading this?
I want to know.
Who shares the kiss
That I, the poet
Blow into the air?
I’m curious.
I’m always curious.

To plant a kiss on lips discernible
Is child’s play.
But stretching, reaching,
Kissing in invisibility
From room, from bed, from chair
To no one there –
Is that not strange?

A kiss
From brain
To someone out of range
Whose lips wait;
Bait that cannot kiss you back.
It puzzles – does it not?
